L’Agulla Grossa, the cliff of Anoia
L’Agulla Grossa is a cliff located 867 metres from the county, if we don’t take into account the part of Montserrat Mountain that belongs to Anoia, situated in the Miralles-Queralt Mountain Range, an area of natural interest.
From the summit of L’Agulla Grossa we have a superb panoramic view of the cereal fields and vineyards so characteristic of Miralles, and of the hills, valleys and mountains that make up the distinctive county of Anoia.
The view from here stretches all the way to Montserrat, Baix Llobregat, the Collserola Coastal Range and the Garraf Massif. To the west, we have the Church of Santa Maria de la Roqueta and Roqueta Castle, and at the end of the horizon we can see the mountains of Prades. L’Agulla Grossa affords a great panoramic view of the crop fields and vineyards at its foot. The mountain situated to the east of L’Agulla Grossa is Grony de Miralles (867 m), the highest peak in the entire Queralt-Miralles-Montbui mountain system.
