The smell of summer
Summer is here.
Fields, forests, mountains and houses all bathe in the sunlight.
The intrepid rays insolently caress the stones and grass. They embrace our skin and make us feel their early heat. And we lazily begin to peel off layers of clothing to release the sweat and to relieve that feeling of being constrained by everything that surrounds us.
And wafting everywhere are the eager aromas of pines, cereals, grape vines and the most highly perfumed flowers. The landscape is picture perfect, tempting painters and poets, its mood changing with the winds and dews like a capricious adolescent.
And the nights are magical, full of festive and holiday spirit, with music creating a party atmosphere conducive to special social gatherings. Sun and moon. Sea and sky. Forests and dew.
A heady concoction of sensations, feelings, vibrations and passions. An exalted symphony.
